Japan's No. 1 psy-trance-rock band

First formed in 2004 as a Tokyo sound project SKUNKRICE is involved in all aspects of music production. In the studio everything from composing and track mixing to recording and mastering is all in the hands of the man T2low.

But on stage he is joined by Japan Scratch DJ champion Hibiki Yohei and drummer Takashi "Kojiro" Sasaki.

Their new-age loud music, combining the aggressive rock elements as well as dance music influences, has electrified fans at their various shows in Japan and abroad. The driving heavy electronic rock with the catchy gritty bass lines and an iindustrial hardcore meanness is made for dancing.

In the 4 years since SKUNKRICE made their first live performance debut in Vietnam they have also appeared live in the Philippines, Taiwan and most recently the UK.
During this time the 2005 maxi single "ELECTRO MEDITATION" was released on iTunes globally and instores nationwide and was followed by a 7 city tour of Japan the same year.

SKUNKRICE is also a regular at the ZERO electro music events based in Tokyo but also held in other cities around Asia.

T2low is more often than not busy in the studio producing music for other artists or working on numerous commercial projects with Zero Hour. Past projects have included work for Yamaha motorcycles, the Yamaha MotoGP Racing team, Smirnoff, Nissan iPod and the On The Grid TV show.

Adding a further string to his bow he also performed a live show with the Vietnamese symphony orchestra.

In May 2009 three new SKUNKRICE singles "BLUE", "ONE" and "F.O.C." were also released on iTunes and to celebrate the first full album coming out at the end of the year SKUNKRICE will again be appearing at various locations in Japan and abroad.
